In 2013 Condiment was approached to create the campaign for Visit Suffolk. Little did we know that it would turn out to be the most controversial ever. We teamed up with zany illustrator Simon Wild to create strange characters for The Curious County.
It was simply the word ‘Curious’ that caused a stir in the local (and national) press. Whether you consider the meaning to be strange or inquisitive, Suffolk has plenty of attractions.
We invented The Hegartys, a family with a robot dog. The Nesters an elderly couple with a penchant for luxury and a young couple who can fly! These characters were imposed onto imagery throughout the campaign. Whether you loved or loathed it, the campaign was one of the most successful in Visit Suffolk’s history.
Throughout the campaign I designed and artworked collateral from buttons, pens and keyrings to newspaper adverts and giant posters.
